Day 1: Ashgabat
Welcome to Koytendag tour 8! On arrival you will be transferred to the capital of Turkmenistan. In course of the tour you will be able to see the parks and squares of the capital, Ertogrul Ghazi mosque, the archeological site "Old Nisa". This site is famed all around the world. You will be amazed by the view of the mud brick remains of palaces, temples, ceremony hall, treasury building. This site used to be the capital of Parthian civilization that mixed the traditional art and culture with Hellenistic and Roman elements. After it you will visit the Gypjak. Later on is the drive to Ashgabat. Night will be in a hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Kow Ata - Nokhur - Ashgabat
Today you will visit the famous Kow-Ata underground lake. The name of this lake can be translated as the Father of caves. The look of this site will astonish you that resembles auditorium the size of which is 230 m, its height reaches 20 m, and its width is at some points 57 m. The bottom of the cave is covered with lumps of stalagmites, and its warm and gushing water is clear that possesses emerald colored. You can freely swim there due to the warm temperature of 33-37°C. After it you will drive to the small depression village that is located in the valley. You will find Nokhur village in the Kopet Dag Range with houses made cement with mud. You will be interested to the fact that Nokhur people a bit different that Turkmes. Drive back to Ashgabat. Night will be in a hotel.
Day 3: Ashgabat - Mary -Merv - Mary
In course of the tour you will travel to the place that will fascinate you to Mary. On the way to it you will have a stop to explore the Seyitjemaleddin Mosque, Nedir sha fortress and Abiverd historical place. Upon arrival to Mary you will visit the famous Merv that is known due to the deep history. You will be able to visit the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Mohammed bin Said Mausoleum, medieval castles - "Kesk" - Gyz Kala, Small Kala- fortresses of the 6-7 centuries and others. Night will be in a hotel.
Day 4: Mary - Turkmenabad - Koytendag
Today you will have to travel to the prominent place of the Turkmenistan that is known as the Repetek biospheric reserve. You will have excursion in the museum and its area as well. After it you will head back to the capital of Turkmenistan and farther to Koytendag. On the way to it you will visit the picturesque lake Kaynar Baba. Overnight is in the hotel.
Day 5: Koytendag
In the morning you will drive via the Koytendag mountain gorge. Koytendag is known to be the highest place of mountains in Turkmenistan, where you can see the deep alpine lakes and the longest caves and the most breathtaking natural waterfalls in the country. Koytendag Nature Reserve is known to be the huge geological research center, where you can see the numerous dinosaur footprints. Here you will have a chance to explore the "Forty Girls" Gorge, "Plateau of Dinosaurs". Don't miss the chance to visit the UmbarDere waterfall. Overnight is in hotel.
Day 6: Koytendag - Turkmenabad - Ashgabat
In course of the tour you will head on to Turkmenabad. During the way you will have a stop to visit the Astana Baba mausoleum. After it you will have to arrive to Turkmenabad airport to have a flight to Ashgabat. Night will be in a hotel.
Day 7: Ashgabat - Dashoguz - Kunya Urgench - Darwaza
Today you will have to flight to Dashoguz. Upon arrival you will have an opportunity to have an excursion in the architectural monuments of Kone-Urgench. This sight used to be the capital of Khorezm in X- XII centuries. You will visit the historical Parkincludes the mausoleums of Najm al-Din al-Kubra KhanumTyurabek, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia KutlykTimur. Then you will have an opportunity to visit the place tours to which are known to be wonderful the famous Darwaza. You will visit the famous Gas Crater that is located 270 km to the north of Ashgabat. Overnight at the tent.
Day 8: Darwaza - Ashgabat
In course of the tour you will drive back to the capital of Turkmenistan to have fascinating city tour to visit the most prominent parts of the city. On the way to it you will have a stop at the villages Bahardok or Erbentto to witness the life of local people. Ashgabat is the largest city of Turkmenistan that was added to the Guinness Book of Records named Ashgabat "white marbled city" in 2013. This city is known as the biggest number of buildings in the world made out of the white marble. Here you will be able to explore the Ertogrul Gazy Mosque, beautiful monument of Akhalteke horses, park of "Ylham" (Inspiration), "Altyn Asyr" trade market and "Gulustan" market that is also knownm as the Russian bazaar. Night is in hotel.
